Jameela Oberman (אוברמן جميلة)
Fully qualified UK journalist whose first job was working as an agency feature writer for national magazines and papers such as Bella, Take a Break and the Express and many more. I then worked as an editor for a political online newspaper The Palestine Telegraph. Now I am broadening my horizons as a freelance journalist, with published work in a variety of national, print media.
I studied at Bournemouth University Media School, named the best in Europe by the National Council for Training Journalists (NCTJ). My qualifications include a BA Honours degree in Multimedia Journalism and NCTJ qualifications in news writing, public affairs, media law and a distinction in shorthand at 100 wpm. Plus, I’m a member of the National Union of Journalists (NUJ).
I’m passionate about unusual and thought-provoking stories that are in the public interest. I have a unique style and do my utmost to ensure my work is accurate, objective, informative and entertaining. The main topics I write about are music, culture, art, politics and social justice.
